XXX has been appointed as the Transnet Procurement Ombudsman
The role of the Ombudsman is to enhance the integrity and fairness of Transnet’s procurement processes by providing an independent and objective assessment of complaints which are lodged by unsuccessful bidders.
The Procurement Ombudsman will investigate any material complaint in respect of RFPs exceeding R5,000,000.00 (five million S.A. Rands) in value. Should a bidder have any material concern regarding a bid process which meets this value threshold, a complaint may be lodged with Transnet’s Procurement Ombudsman for further investigation.
For transactions below the R5,000,000.00 threshold, a complaint may be lodged with the Chief Procurement Officer of the relevant Transnet Operating Division. Kindly note that complaints must be lodged within 7 days of a notification from Transnet informing all bidders of the outcome of the bid process.
Please familiarise yourself with the Terms of Reference for the Transnet Procurement Ombudsman and submit the completed complaint form, together with any supporting documentation, within the prescribed period to
