BA in Police Science & Administration, Law and Security (Unisa)

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Numerous certificates in Security Risk Management, Forensic Investigations, Maritime Security and Management, and Leadership

Experience

Richard began his career in 1991 as a Commercial Crime Investigator with the South African Police Services.

He joined Transnet in 1997, progressing through various roles in forensic investigation and security management.

His journey includes a period with Ernst & Young and gaining extensive experience in the maritime sector. Since 2021, he has served as the Chief Security and Forensics Officer at Transnet Pipelines.

Passions

Dedicated to health and fitness, Richard values a balanced lifestyle. He thoroughly enjoys time with his family, especially his wife of 28 years and spending quality time with his daughter.

Goals

He aims to stabilise the security environment at Transnet Pipelines and mentor the next generation for a sustainable future.

He is committed to contributing to a legacy that makes South Africa a better place.
